Silent Auction

One of the premier events of every reunion is the Silent Auction. Items of both whimsy and historical significance are made available due to the generosity of folks, like yourself, to be auctioned off for the benefit of the museum.

SIlent Auction logoHello, my name is Sonny LaSalle.  My wife Judy and I as well as Amanda Wickel, John and Patt Pruitt and Mike and Sue Cummings have volunteered to lead the charge for the silent auction.

The silent auction at all previous reunions displayed the talents and creativity of many of our retirees.

Hand made items are often the most popular at the silent auction, like art work, knives and other metal work.  There are also many other opportunities for items with personal attention such as guided fishing trips, white water rafting, cabin rentals, gourmet meals, and many others.

A donated quilt brought a little over $2,000 at the Lake Tahoe reunion.  Beautiful hand turned hardwood bowls are also quite popular.

If you are interested in participating in the Silent Auction follow our process, below:

  1. The committee will review the descriptions of all the items and determine which ones will be in the auction, so please send your descriptions first.
  2. Donors will be responsible for shipping the items to the Museum.
  3.  The shipping address for the Museum will be listed on the website at a later date.
  4. After the auction you will receive a letter stating the value of your donation for IRS purposes.

This is such a great opportunity for us to display our talent, creativity and support for OUR Museum!
